Pakistan Horticulture Development & Export Company (PHDEC) in pursuance of its 3-years workplan, conducted its second workshop on “Good Agricultural Practices of Onion” in collaboration with Onion Research Institute (ORI), Hyderabad. The activity initiated at Onion Research Institute (ORI), where Dr. Rasool Bux Laghari, Director (ORI) provided training to the farmers on onion bed formation for seed and plantation of onion for seed production followed by lectures from Dr. Jamil Jokhyio, Dr. Tanveer Fatima Miano, and other agriculture officers from Department of Agriculture, Sindh.
The activity sensitized a large number of farmers, growers, people from research institutions, academia, government officials and growers’ associations from Sindh. Among other prominent speakers were Mr. Mahmood Nawaz Shah, Vice President Sindh Abadgar, Mr. Imran Ali Bozdar, Finance Secretary, Sindh Abadgar, and Mr. Shafique Ahmed from FFC.
