Mr. Raja Zulqarnain Zaka from Pakistan Horticulture Development & Export Company attended the 3rd Professor Dr. Usman Ghani Khan Memorial International Seminar on “Improvising Global Health with Eastern Medicine”. The seminar aimed at promoting the production and use of medicinal plants and its associated products with a prime focus on export enhancement. Good Agricultural Practices of Apple

Pakistan Horticulture Development & Export Company while pursuing its mandate entrusted by the Government of Pakistan and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, conducted its first workshop of the year at Quetta Serena Hotel, on “Good Agricultural Practices of Apple”. All major stakeholders of the Apple value chain of Balochistan including Secretary, Agriculture, Government of Balochistan attended the workshop. Major issues in the value chain, yield maximization and suggestions of the participants were discussed at length. The effort was widely lauded by the participants in attendance. Mr. Nasir Hamid, CEO, PHDEC while concluding the workshop assured continuous support to all stakeholders of the apple industry in future as well to make Pakistan a net exporter of the fruit.
