CEO meeting on Ginger Export

Pakistan is spending an average of 80 million USD annually to import ginger from China and Thailand. Realizing the need for import substitution, Pakistan Horticulture Development & Export Company organized a consultative session on “Import Substitution for Ginger in Pakistan”. Issues related to Ginger harvesting, seed varieties suitable for domestic environment and way forward for export of ginger were discussed at length in the meeting.
Dr. Kausar Ali Zaidi (C.E.O PHDEC) chaired the meeting with active participation from Pakistan Agriculture Research Council Headquaters Islamabad and Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad, Pakistan.
